Nestled in the vibrant heart of downtown Huntsville, our Huntsville studio blends seamlessly into its historic surroundings. From this location, we proudly support clients across the Tennessee Valley, including major institutions such as Huntsville International Airport, Boeing, Redstone Federal Credit Union, Oakwood University, the City of Scottsboro, Commercial Office Properties Trust (COPT), and the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Our Huntsville studio is led by Kristine Harding, FAIA, a distinguished architect honored as a member of the AIA College of Fellows in 2018 for her exceptional contributions to the field. As a principal at KPS Group and a member of our Board of Directors, Kristine is deeply engaged with the Huntsville community, participating in Leadership Alabama Class 16 and Huntsville-Madison County Leadership Class 14, as well as contributing to the Huntsville Sports Commission and the Madison County Marina & Port Authority.
The roots of our Huntsville office trace back to Kristine Harding’s tenure as president of JH Partners, a firm established in 1967 that pioneered the integration of interior design into its practice in 1985. JH Partners completed over 3,500 projects in the Tennessee Valley before merging with KPS Group.
Founded in Birmingham in 1965, KPS Group now boasts a team of over 40 professionals across two offices, specializing in architecture, interior design, planning, and urban design.
Our Huntsville office, led by a team with deep local ties, is uniquely positioned to address the region’s diverse needs. From defense and distribution to education and healthcare, we are equipped to handle the varied demands of Huntsville’s dynamic growth. Our expertise extends to religious, commercial, educational, recreational, cultural, and adaptive reuse projects, with a strong emphasis on historic preservation and leveraging historic tax credits for development.
At KPS Group, we are committed to shaping the built environment to reflect and enhance the unique character of Huntsville and its surrounding areas.
