An 8,000sf tenant suite in an existing professional building was transformed into this ambulatory surgical treatment center for eye surgeries

This ambulatory surgery center (ASC) for SouthEast Eye Specialists will support 2,880 eye surgeries per year in an 8,000sf space designed to facilitate ease of operations and patient flow.  It features a lobby seating 37 with custom reception / intake desk designed to maintain patient confidentiality; a 4-bay pre-operative area; a decontamination area; 3 operating suites and procedure rooms arranged to optimize staff workflow and isolation from common areas; a recovery area with 4 post-operative bays; central nursing station with clear sightlines to pre- and post-op patients; staff locker and break rooms; separate sterile and non-sterile equipment and utility rooms; a biohazard room; and discharge area.  A separate post-op pediatric isolation room with large windows provides both visibility for nursing staff and privacy for young patients and their families.  All functional aspects are designed to optimize workflow and reduce the incidence of cross-contamination.
