University of Iowa Health Network + Encompass Health Coralville Rehabilitation Hospital

KPS Group was the interior designer for the new 40-bed facility, designed for a partnership between the University of Iowa and Encompass Health

A 2-story entry vestibule and spacious reception area welcomes patients and visitors to this new 40-bed rehabilitation hospital, which offers private rooms and 24-hour nursing care as well as physical, occupational, and speech therapies to patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries.  Comprehensive inpatient services are provided in a 5,500sf physical therapy gym, bariatric and bariatric isolation rooms, an “activities of daily living” suite, and dedicated spaces for dialysis, speech therapy, and psychiatric counseling, all equipped with state-of-the-art technologies.  Staff are supported with a centralized Nurse Station and 3,000sf of administrative space.  Amenities include 4,000sf dining and food services, in-house pharmacy, day room, and courtyard.  KPS Group was the interior designer on the Frederick & Associates Architects team that designed this 48,000sf project for a partnership between the University of Iowa Health Care and Encompass Health that is the first facility for the new University of Iowa Health Network brand.
